CODE Maths Hub is part of the wider hub network of over 40 hubs, backed by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics.
Through a collaborative approach, we aim to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.

Free twilight workshops for Secondary Maths non-specialists
The course is online and will run between the times of 4:15-5:30pm on each occasion. Dates throughout the Autumn term.

Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics (SKTM) - Non-Specialist Teachers

SKTM Early Career Programme
This superb programme to support ECTs in Maths is still open for applications but will be closing soon!
The focus will be on developing both subject knowledge and pedagogy of early career teachers.
Participants will:
- plan and teach a carefully sequenced and coherent area of maths
- appreciate the key ideas underpinning the area of maths being taught
- understand key principles and approaches associated with teaching for mastery
- understand approaches to assess students’ prior learning, so that learning sequences take this into account
- make appropriate use of representations to expose the structure of the maths being taught.
Dates for the programme are 09:30-15:00.:
- Thursday 6th March (online)
- Thursday 24th April (online)
- Wednesday 11th June (face-to-face).
