If you or your school is not eligible (for example if you work for an independent school) the programme cost is £1850.
Making an application
IMPORTANT
Before making an application, please contact us at npq@onecornwall.co.uk
It is important to collect together the information that you will require prior to starting the application form.
Teacher Reference Number (TRN)
In order to apply for an NPQ you will need to have a TRN. If you already have one but have forgotten it, or you do not have a TRN, you will need to contact the DfE for clarification. You are able to request a TRN even if you do not hold QTS. We have attached a guidance sheet below which will take you through this process.
The Early Headship Coaching (EHCO)
The Early Headship Coaching (EHCO) programme offers tailored, face-to-face support for new headteachers in their first five years of leadership. Based on the latest evidence of effective headship, the programme provides a flexible and practical approach to help leaders navigate the challenges they face in their unique school contexts. Its personalised structure is designed to empower new heads to enhance their leadership impact and build confidence as they grow into their role.
It is available to any new head who has EITHER completed the new/reformed NPQH before becoming a head OR is currently taking the existing NPQH.
